When registering for eBay Australia, you will have to pick a User ID that is unique and identifies you in the eBay Australia community. It will save you some frustration later if you pick a eBay.com.au ID that is easy for you to remember.
Enter Your Information
Once you get to the registration screen at eBay Australia, you'll be asked to enter some basic information about yourself over a secure connection so you're personal information will not be seen by others.
eBay Australia will ask you for the following information:
- First name
- Last name
- Street address
- City
- State
- Zip Code
- Country
- Primary telephone number
Validate Your Email Address
When registering, be sure to use an email address that you have easy access. After you fill out the registration form on eBay, they send you a "email verification" email. This is to ensure that you are who you say you are. Open the email and click the eBay verification link.
Create Your Account Password
You will be asked to pick a secret question (these are questions that only you would know the answers to such as; mother's maiden name, first school you attend, or your favourite movie, etc..) You will not use your secret question unless you lost your eBay Australia account password. The best thing I've found is to just write down your user ID and password immediately when you register. So hopefully you will never have to use your secret question.
Confirm E-Mail/Place A Bid
As soon as you've confirmed your E-mail address, place a bid on eBay Australia to become an active member. After you place your first bid, you become a registered eBay Australia Member. Congratulations! Welcome to the largest Australia auction site, eBay.com.au. |
